EPHESUS + PAMUKKALE TOUR
Ephesus is the most attractive ancient city on the coast of the Aegean Sea, inscribed on the UNESCO list. In ancient times, it was the center of the most important events of the era and builders was creating the most outstanding architectural masterpieces, designs and monuments.
Meryem Ana, House of the Virgin Mary, it’s a place where dreams come true. For some of the people it can be surprising that in Turkey located is the place in which Mary, the mother of Jesus, spend her last days. This place is the destination of pilgrimages, prayers and wishes. In this area there is a wish wall, where not only a Christians are comming.
Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) it’s one of the most incredible places created by nature, not only in Turkey but in the whole world. It’s unique shape was made by water flowing down the mountains slope. This thermal waters are rich in minerals, mainly calcium carbonate which is deposited, forming travertine. Since ancient times healing properties of these waters are well known.
Hierapolis played an important role in spread of Christianity. After many earthquakes, today there are only ruins of few buildings, which are visited with a pleasure by many tourists. At Hierapolis there is located Antique Pool, which is called Cleopatra Pool. In swimming pool are ancient columns, mineral water has comfortable temperature of 35-36 degrees. Pamukkale is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1988.
Near Pamukkale located is town named Karahayit. In this place there are 5 thermal springs rich in ferric oxide, temperature of the water is 60 ° Celsius. In Denizli Region are nine thermal springs certified by Turkish Ministry of Health, five ot them are in Karahayit.
